Kimball Elementary School
Kimball is an elementary school within the Seattle Public School District. We have a diverse student enrollment of approximately 500 students and are located in the Beacon Hill area of Seattle.
The Kimball Lunar New Year Celebration is this Thursday 2/9 from 6-8pm. It is the year of the Rooster. Please bring a pot-luck dish to share. Dinner will be from 6-7. The events will start at 7pm in the Gym. Our amazing Lion Dance kicks off the event, followed by Taiko Drumming, then a Kid Fit performance and Jump Club to close out the evening. We are looking forward to this fun event for all our families to enjoy!
Thank you to all families, teachers and staff who gathered Monday morning to welcome and show solidarity in support of our Muslim and immigrant students and their families. Groups gathered before school at the main entrance of Kimball, the bus drop off and the Ramp on the East side of school. Our community is amazing because of our diversity and inclusion. We love and care about all of you!
Hi Kimball families:
Our Assistant Principal, Ms. Smith, is asking families to come to school at 7:20 AM tomorrow (Monday 1/30) with signs to welcome and support our immigrant and Muslim families at Kimball.
We want to ensure all our families feel welcome and safe at Kimball. This is not about politics - this is about making sure that love and respect outweigh feelings of fear and uncertainty for every single member of the Kimball community.
Kimball Families: this Thursday, 1/19 is Literacy Night from 5-6:30pm. Light dinner will be served along with different stations throughout school for grade/age oriented reading tips, book mark making and internet safety, there will be a raffle for book baskets too! New this year is a clothing swap in the Gym. Bring any new or used clothing (clean) that your family has grown out of or stopped wearing and find some items your family needs. New jackets, sweatshirts, coats, gloves and socks are greatly appreciated! Contact Mrs. Tacy, Kimball counselor with any questions! We always need additional volunteers to serve food, clean up and support the staff. Contact the office or Jessica Matusui for our areas of need. See you there!
The Holidays are here and so is Kimball's Winter Concert! This Thursday 12/15 from 6-7pm. Cookies and juice will be served in the commons before the event (no food in the Gym please!). Come see the Kidfit class perform, a few holidays songs from Kimball students and more. We hope to see you there!
Happy Thanksgiving to our Amazing Kimball community. We hope you all have a day of family, food and fun! If you know of anyone who would enjoy this free Thanksgiving meal in Columbia city or would just enjoy some company, please share! All are welcome at this event.
