Harlem Wizard take on the PCSC All-Stars
Our PCSC All-Star Team is beating the Harlem Wizard thanks to WSOI's Mr. Delp who just scored a 3 pointer to put us ahead! What an exciting game! Thank you to everyone who came out to watch all the action and cheer us on! #PCSCweCARE WDA PTO

The 4th grade will present the "Granny Awards" tonight at 7:00 PM. The Kindergarten program will be held also tonight at 6:00 PM.

The Hacienda Gives Back night at Plymouth Hacienda is tomorrow (March 9th) Come join the fun!!!!!!! WDA earns 20%, but you need to use a Gives Back Token.

Congratulations to Mrs. Risner and her dancing partner Chad Beatty on winning the Marshall County Dancing With The Stars! Thank You to everyone who supported the Neighborhood Center during WDA's Spirit Week. WDA was able to cast 180 votes by raising 1,800!!!!!! This money is used to support the programs at the Marshall County Neighborhood Center. Mrs. Risner's class raised the highest amount and enjoyed an ice cream party. Since we exceeded the spirit week goal, the WDA PTO is planning an all school celebration!

Our Kindergarten students are learning all about Thanksgiving. To make sure everyone is able to celebrate Thanksgiving, they contacted the Marshall County Neighborhood Center and learned there is a need for everything (except turkeys). Tomorrow is the big day! We would still like to increase our scheduled appointments. You can sign up to donate blood for the 1st grade hosted blood drive at http://www.redcrossblood.org/ or contact the school office. The Blood Drive will be held from 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. in WDA's gymnasium. #PCSCweCARE

Our Lost and Found has many jackets and sweatshirts along with other items. If your student is missing something, be sure to have your student look for the missing items in our lost and found (outside nurse's office and in the cafeteria).

The last day of the 2015-2016 ended with the traditional 4th grade walk. We will miss this class as they move on to Riverside. We also will miss Mrs. Bartholomew as she is moving.

Busy week ahead for WDA...The news crew reminds us about the food drive, blood drive incentive and more!

WDA's Kindergarten and 2nd Grades are sponsoring a Food Drive. Canned or Boxed Food can be brought in November 16th - 20th. The school goal is 500 items!

WDA 1st graders have organized a Blood Drive. They have a goal of 95 donors. If they meet this goal, WDA students will have a NON-UNIFORM SUPERHERO DAY! You can sign up to donate at redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code "washdisacademy" or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Welcome Witten Brothers to WDA!
8-year-old Aiden Witten and his brother Adam transferred into the Plymouth Community School Corporation tonight and will both be attending Washington Discovery Academy this school year! Tonight they registered for the PCSC school year at PHS with their mom and grandmother, Elizabeth Patrick! Adam said he is too shy to appear on camera- he let his brother handle the quick interview clip you see here. :) Have a wonderful school year here at Washington Aiden and Adam!
