Did you know View Ridge just received a check from PCC for over $1,800?!? This was from folks who bought a PCC scrip card (Otter Bucks) and reloaded it at the store. VRE receives 5% of all those reloads! It's SO easy to make money for our school. Don't shop at PCC? We have Safeway, QFC, Whole Foods, and Met. Market too! Download the order form off the website and help raise money for our school! Go to our website and select: "Shop"-->"Otter Bucks."

It Takes a Village

It Takes a Village...
Regardless of which side of the political aisle you reside, we have to agree that this is a very stressful time for many families. Students gather all sorts of information from their homes, families, background news, and peers. They do their best to make sense of this information, but are occasionally way off base. They are coming to school and sharing all sorts of information with each other and it’s, of course, impossible for adults to be around at all times to set the story straight. This is where you come in. This is a good time to talk to your children about what they’re hearing and feeling and set the story straight. We cannot prevent children from talking to each other but you have the power to fill in the gaps and direct the conversation in a direction that works for your family values. We want to find good homes for your unwanted books

We want to find good homes for your unwanted books!

You can’t care for them anymore — let us find someone who can. Donate your used books to the annual Pre-Loved Book Sale.
We need both adult and children’s books, but we really need children’s chapter books. If you have any of those laying around (or any other books for the sale), please bring them to the library or put them in the red wagon located outside of the office.

For more information, please visit our website: https://www.viewridgeschool.org/2017/02/we-want-to-find-good-homes-for-your-unwanted-books/
