Our Values:
• Hearts - We foster empathy and an appreciation of beauty that promotes the emergence of the whole child. Exposure to art and to nature opens our hearts.
• Hands - We empower children to discover their physical selves in the outdoors, learning about the natural world and the connections to their daily life. Free play learning allows the natural capacities of the child to flourish.
• Minds - We introduce children to the complexity and beauty of the world around them, instilling a sense of curiosity and wonder. Children learn about the world by actively engaging in the environment.

We are a small community with a very big heart!!
Our second delivery to Wellspring Family Services brought our community's total donated goods about equal to those donated at Bellevue Square Mall!
Thank you, you kind and generous families!

Tara managed to take this photo with her left hand and without the child knowing she took it.
For her, as a teacher, this photo says it all - a teacher should be there as needed with an open hand, and unwavering love. He kept his hand on hers for quite some time after his father left. They watched the animals together and finally he said, "Let's check for eggs."
He is two years old, and he cried when he first joined us, of course - he loves his father so much - but in the very few weeks that we have known each other he has grown so much. No more tears. He has replaced the tears with curiosity and love of working together. They found no eggs, but they did find the coop in dire need of bedding so they worked together to replenish it.

Our children and their lanterns bringing light to the world.

Birthday circle.
This particular morning, the staff gathered around the table we set up for a birthday celebration for one of our children turning 5.
As with every morning, we spend the last 10-15 minutes before the children arrive to check in with each other, get a pulse on the day and share news. Often the early morning children will join us, and often Calvin - Tara's French bulldog - joins us. There is something so profound in those quiet, intentional moments when everyone is drawn in - including Calvin.
