Our 29th Symposium will, in all likelihood, be that last one held at Camp Brotherhood. The Board of Directors of Treacy Levine Center have voted to close the Center as of August 31st and put the property and facilities up for sale. Due the rising costs of CampB, our Board had already formed a search committee and are looking into several facilities in the Puget Sound Region. If you have a place/name/contact we should look into, please feel free to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org). The closing has pushed our need to make a decision to sooner than we had expected, and we are anticipating a decision and announcement by the time the July CampB occurs as to where we will hold our 30th Symposium. Speaking of CampB occurring, Early Bird registration closes today and we have a large group attending. For those who might want to attend out of nostalgia, share old CampB stories, and see old friends, please consider coming for a day (or the week) and attending the party (or auction). Learn Much, Share with Many, and Carve Proud Carl Nelson Register at www.nwssa.org
Finally held the CampB auction dinner: Pat Barton's pulled pork and baba ganoush, Jenny's killer potato salad, cole slaw, hors d'oeuvres and cheesecake, Al Mangold's awesome breads, Cyra Jane's post dinner singing and of course 17 eclectic stone carving guests and friends to enjoy it all. Thank you all for your support of NWSSA!

NWSSA member Ken Barnes on our annual River Walk along the Pilchuck during #CampB annual stone carving symposium
An awesome group gathered to talk about stone and dry wall, and how to get the word out and teach others. Many wise and experienced hands working together are building this wall of Idaho quartzite quickly. Having Bobby Watt here is a blessing. Give it a listen and watch it being built.
Seven sculptors tapping away, while this eighth one does an iPhone video. As usual a really good workshop from Sabah on carving figurative pieces.
